Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father is from an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers herself Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County to California when she was 7 years old. The family resided in an area without electric power. Ryder began to be a committed book reader because there was no television. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 12. Lucas was let go in 1986. Ryder, who was barely 15 years old, landed an acting job as a lead actress. Ryder faced bullying during her teenage years. Her acting career, she hoped, would help her. However, the plan didn't pan out. However, she pushed on with her goal. It was 1988 in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that gave her her first big break. Ryder went on to have successful roles. In 1993, he was nominated two times for Academy Awards.
