Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer who was born in Newark, New Jersey on the 9th August 1963. The parents of her are gospel singers Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. In Newark Whitney, she began singing in the church choir in the early years of her childhood. at the age of 15, she joined her mom in the background vocals for Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. After that, she began to perform backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine and her mother. Her vocals with the New York-based band Material brought attention to major record labels which included Arista. The label signed her to Arista in 1983, where she was a part of the company for the remainder of her career. Whitney Houston, her debut album released in 1985, was the most-sold album by the debut artist. Singles such as The Most Beautiful Love of All, How Do I Know if You Give Love and Saving all My Love were all released from the album. They helped Houston to achieve 7 US top tens, which surpassed even those of The Beatles. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies before it went to 25,000,000 world-wide. It earned her the first in her 6 Grammy Awards. The Whitney album followed in 1987 and the singles Where Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her first album. But it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her status as one the world's most well-known performers. While the movie itself and her performance on screen were not widely praised the soundtrack album and her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You made the singles and albums charts for months, and was sold at 44 million copies around the world. That same year she got married to Bobby Brown who was a ex- New Edition singer. She was the sole daughter of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married in the month of March, 1993. In the same year her use of drugs was well-documented and she started using it daily until 1996.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as both a reporter, anchorwoman and political reporter.
